Sports for all : CM

‘Sports for all’ is the main motto of our Sports policy said Chief Minister Manik Sarkar while speaking in the opening function of State Level sports championship recently.
He said the government has developed sports related infrastructure in the state over the past few years. “But we could not achieve success in the field of sports”, he adding Manipur and Assam are far ahead of Tripura.
“The government wants to develop Assam Rifles ground as full fledged stadium to cater the need of sportspersons”, he said.
“Not only Cricket and Football, the government wants to focus on all types of games”, he added.

Football :

International footballer Mumpi Bhowmik arrived at Agartala today. Mumpi represented Indian under-13 team for Asian Football in Vietnam recently.

Youth Club beat Vivekananda Club by 1-0 goal in the domestic Third Division Football tournament today.

Blood Mouth edged over Town Club in the domestic Second Division League Football tournament here today.
