Same Old Wine in a New Bottle

Same Old Wine in a New Bottle.World's best batsmans are poorly surrendering infront of a new face of Sri Lankan Cricket team. All seniors announced just before the series that they will not allow to repeat Mendis Magic. But at the end,we have seen the same story- India down on its knees , middle-order struggling with form, leveled the series after losing the first match and again failed to perform in the crucial moment. It seems time has come for BCCI to start thinking about their future course of action regarding formation of test squad.

In the first test at Colombo, India faced worst and awful defeat in test Cricket against Sri Lanka. Our Test Specialists failed to perform against Mendis-Murali Combination.Indian Cricket fans were expection a come-back performance from them.Although India leveled the series in the next match but all credit goes to Viru & Bhajji not our so called specialist batsman who are known as best against spin.Apart from technology controversy in Umpiring decisions, debate will start about middle-order's performance and fitness issue.People already started asking that why not Raina or Rohit Sharma in the middle-order in place of Couple of seniors.

In the darkness only silvers of lights were performance of Indian Opening pair-highest run-getter Sehwag & Goutam Gambhir. After a long times we got perfect opening pair in our test team.Only these two batsman can differenciate themselves from rest of the batsman.

It's same scenario in the bowling department.Lack of perfect bowling pair, inconsistency , fail to keep line & length. In last couple of years, we haven't seen any Indian bowler has been able to confirm his place in the team for long.Either failed to show Consistant performance or fitness problem- they are out of team.Kumble,Harbhajan & Zaheer combination surprisingly failed to get success in this series when Mendis-Murali-Vaas stunned the Indians. At the end of day three Sri Lankan are almost close to their home series win against India. It looks diffucult for injured Laxman & out-of form Dravid to change the situation when all other specialist batsman are back into the pavallion and still two days to go. Now test matches seems to be getting over before the fifth day. It seems that the T20 hangover is still plaguing Indian Team.
