Football :
SAI SAG registered to entry in to Semi-final in the domestic Rakhal Memorial Knock-out Shield today. At Dashrath Dev Stadium, Badharghat, SAG beat Birendra Club by 1-0 goals. Anjan Pal scored the decider for winning team. SAG will play against Tripura Police in the first Semi-final on August 08 next.
Four footballers – Manish Debbarma, Badal Debbarma and Nandanarayan Jamatia from Tripura Sports School and Lal N Muiya Darlong of Bodjung School – were selected for Indian trial camp of school level which will be starts from September 15 next. The camp will be held in Goa.
Chess :
Open Chess tournament starts at Agartala. Altogether 70 chess players were attend in the five days tourney. Tripura Chess Players Welfare Association organized the tournament.
