Football :
Defending champion Ageya Cholo Sangha to take on Birendra Club in opening match of First Division League Football tournament tomorrow. The match will be held at Dashrath Dev Stadium, Badharghat. Veteran footballer Shabhu Nama will open the tournament. Minister Joy Gobinda Debroy will present in this function. Altogether seven teams will participate in this league cum super league tourney.
Fixture of first five matches,
August 14 : Ageya Cholo Sangha - Birendra Club
August 15 : Rest day
August 16 : Forward Club - Nobodoy Sangha
August 17 : Tripura Police - Nine Bullets Club
August 18 : Birendra Club - Lalbahadur Vyamagar
August 19 : Nobodoy Sangha - Ageya Cholo Sangha
Cricket :
Tripura will play in Buchibabu Cricket Tournament at Tamilnadu this year. Trial camp for this tournament will be starts from August 16 next. Ranji coach Samir Dighe will attend in this camp.
Athletics :
Altogether 21 athletes will participate in the East Zone Junior Athletics Champion on August 16-18 next. The tournament will be held at Tata Nagar, Jamshedpur.
Yoga :
An executive meeting of Tripura Yoga Association will be held on August 17 next.
