Rakhal Shield champion Nobodoy Sangha registered first wins in the domestic First Division League football tournament here today. At the Dashrath Dev Stadium, Badharghat, Nobodoy beat Forward Club by 1-0 goal. Right back Sunil Bhowmik scored the decider in second minutes of the match by a long range shoot form center line of the ground. With this win Nobodoy bagged vital three points from this match.
Cricket :
Trial camp of Tripuar team for Buchibabu Cricket tournament starts here today. Altogether twenty cricketers were participating in this 12 days camp under the guidance of Ranji coach Samir Dighe. Selected twenty cricketers are – Rajesh Banik (Captain), Rajib Saha, Subal Chowdhury, Rajib Datta, Subhrajit Roy, Bappa Das, Jayanta Debnath, Kishor Muhuri, Gopesh Bhowmik, Rana Datta, Prabir Paul, Abhijit Dey, Amit Das, Jiban Paul, Abhijit Chakraborty, Sanjib Saha, Biswajit Dey, Sukanta Reang, Saumya Banik, Abhijit Das. The tournament will be starts on September 02 next at Chennai.
Kick Boxing :
Tripura bagged one Silver and three Bronze in National Kick Boxing Championship at Kolkata, which was held on August 06-10 last. Sandipan Deb bagged Silver and Rekha Deb, Lilabati Debnath and Sahit Baruha lifted Bronze medals for state.
