Tripura took vital first innings lead of 20 runs against Assam in the four-day Ranji Trophy cricket match here on Tuesday. Resuming from over night score of 45 for 2 at the Maharaja Bir Bickram Stadium, Assam bundled out 195 runs of their first innings on second day. S. Purakayastha batted brilliantly and scored 77. Deepak Sharma 46 supported to him. For Tripura, Vinit Jain, Timir Chanda, Abhijit Dey and Jayanta Debnath all of them bagged two wickets each. Leading by 20 runs, Tripura scored 96 for 5 at the end of day. Rajib Saha scrod 23 and Subal Chowdhury made 22 for hosts.
