Tripura will play against Assam in the four-day Ranji Trophy cricket match here on Monday. The match will be held at Maharaja Bir Bickram Stadium, Agartala.
Jharkhanda beat Tripura by innings and 51 runs in the C. K. Naidu Trophy four-day cricket match here on Sunday last. Trailing by 161 runs in the first innings at the Polytechnic ground, Tripura bundled out only 110 runs in the second innings. Soumya Banik scored 48 for hosts. Avinash took 6 for 36. Earlier on day two, visitor Jharkhanda scored 385 of their second innings. Rameez Nemat scored brilliant 184. S. P. Gautam 53 and V. Majumder 45 supported him.Spinnre Rakesh Sharma took 4 for 90.
