Football :
Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB) moved in to Semi-final in the North Eastern Federation Cup Football tournament at Belonia, South Tripura district on Thursday last. In the opening match at BKI ground, ASEB beat F C Kulinan of Mizoram by 3-2 goals in penalty shoot out. Both the teams were locked 1-1 goals in scheduled 90 and extra time also. ASEB will now play against Ageya Cholo Sangh in the second semi-final on September 27 next.
Earlier state Finance Minister Badal Chowdhury opned this tournament on Wednesday night last. Five teams took part in the knock out tournament.

Tripura bowed out from National Sub-junior Football tournament for under-16 boys this year. In group matches at Mahilpur, Panjab, Tripura lost their two matches against Gao by 3-0 goals and against Hariyana by 2-0 goals.

Tripura Police lifted office football title this year. In the last league matches at Police ground, Police beat Public Works Department (PWD) by 6-0 goals. With this win Police team earned six points from two matches and confirmed champion trophy. Agriculture team bagged runner’s trophy.

Ball Badminton :
Tripura will participate in the National Sub-junior Ball Badminton Championship in Amritswar, Panjab on October 5-8 next. Selected players for this tournament were,
Boys section : Krishna Das, Rigan Debnath, Munna Debnath, Ranju Nama, Madhab Datta, Bikash Pal, Prasanta Debbarma, Abhijit Das, Parshuram debbarma. Coach : Ajay Das, Manager : Pradip das.

Handball :
Tripura will participate in the National Junior Handball Tournament at Bhilai, Chhatisgarh on October 01-06 next. Selected players for the tournament were,

Football :
Tripura Police routed Forward Club by 4-1 goals in the Super League of domestic First Division Football tournament here today. In the first match of Super League at the Dashrath Dev Stadium, Badharghat, both the teams were locked 1-1 before lemon break. Kiran Chhatri scored first in forth minute and Nigerian striker Christina leveled the score in 11th minute. After break, Sandip Das netted a brilliant goal from a free kick in 57th minute. Then Kiran Chhatri struck again in 61st minute and Police took the lead 3-1. At last Sandip confirmed the victory (4-1) from a penalty in 77th minute. With this victory, Police earned 18 points and top of the tally from seven matches while Forward now in the last position with nine points from seven matches.

Sudhnya Debbarma Memorial School of Tripura bowed out from Subrata Mukharjee Cup National School tournament. In the last match in New Delhi, Assam beat Tripura team by 4-0 goals.

Cricket :
Tripura bundled out168 runs against Karnataka in the Buchibabu Trophy Invitation Tournament in Chennai today. Elected to bat first of two-day match, Rajib Saha scored 37, Amit Das 31, Rajesh Banik 31 and Gopesh Bhowmik made 29 for state team. Rayan took 6 for 51 for Karnataka. In reply, Karnataka scored 79 for 3 at the end of day one. K. B. Paral scored 25 and D. Patil made 29. For Tripura Jayanta Debnath took two wickets.

Handball :
Tripura will participate in the National Junior Handball Tournament at Bhilai, Chhatishgarh from October 1-6 next.

Football :
Ageya Cholo Sangha confirmed their entry in Super League of domestic First Division Football Tournament here today. In a crucial match at the Dashrath Dev Stadium, Badharghat, Ageya Cholo routed Forward Club by 4-1 goals. Cameroon striker Stephen scored hat-trick for winning team. Another goal scored by Liberian striker James. For Forward, Christina scored lone goal.
With this win, Ageya Cholo entered in to Super League with eleven points from six matches. After this defeat Forward Club also confirmed their entry in Super League with nine points from six matches.

Sudhnya Debbarma Memorial School of Tripura lost their second match in the Subrata Mukherjee Cup National School Footbal tournament in New Delhi today. Nagaland school team beat Tripura team by 4-0 goals.

Cricket :
Altogether 18 cricketers were collected their token for transfer of domestic cricket tournament upcoming season.

Tripura Police lifts second crown this year in the domestic Women Football tournament. In the final match of Knock-out tournament at the Umakanta Mini Stadium, Tripura Police beat Bishramgunj Play Center by 2-0 goals. Earlier Tripura Police Women team clinched the title of league tournament also.

Handball :

Tripura bowed out from National Mini Handball Tournament. In Querter final match in Imphal, host Manipur beat Tripura.

Tripura bowed out from Sontosh Trophy Senior National Football tournament.
In the second group match at Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi defeated Tripura by 2-0 goals. After two matches Tripura bagged only three points and out from this tournament.

Tripura Police will play against Bishramganj Play Center in the final of the domestic Women Knock-out Football tournament here on Sunday next. In the second Semifinal at Umakanta Mini Stadium, Tripura Police defeated Umakanta Coaching Center by 3-1 goals.

Handball :
Tripura moved in to the Quarter final in the National Mini Handball tournament. In the group matches at Imphal, Tripura beat Bihar by 16-13 goals on Friday. Earlier Chhatisgarh defeated the state team by 20-16 goals. Tripura boys finished second position of the tally and moved in to the last eight after nine years in National Handball championship.
