Agartala : Tripura Yoga team clinched the
runner-up trophy in the National Yoga Championship in Ernaculam, Kerala on
Saturday last.
In the two days championship, Tripura Yoga players showed
their talents and bagged silver medal in team events. Bengal
and Karnataka finished first and third position respectively.
In individual section Tripura bagged one gold, three silver
and three bronze medals. Prasenjit Majumder lifted gold in boy’s 20-23 year’s category.
Three silver medals bagged by Sagar Deb in boy’s 8-14 year’s, Harisankar Datta
in boy’s 30-40 year’s and Sushmita Baidya in girl’s 12-18 year’s categories. Three
bronze medal holders are Puja Majumder in girl’s 12-18 year’s, Suchanda
Chowdhury in girl’s 18-25 year’s and Amarta Das in boy’s 8-14 year’s
categories.
